Commercialisation
A controlled path from working product to evidenced commercial platform.1Investment thesis
A controlled international platform for building-envelope systems. Smart Wall™ is the first system within THOM’s Building Engineering Envelope™ platform.
The commercialisation programme aims to turn the product proposition into independent evidence, first reference projects and repeatable regional delivery.
2The round
£3.25m · single THOM Inc seed financing.
Approximately £750k intended to support the GCC launch within that financing. Convertible note is the working structure; final issuer and legal documentation remain subject to completion.
3What THOM is
THOM’s development programme has delivered successful internal testing and simulation results, as confirmed by management. The final production specification will undergo independent testing and the applicable certification processes with appropriate accredited bodies.
Near-term priorities: data centres and military/defence infrastructure. Housing is an expansion opportunity. Suitability, compliance and procurement requirements are project-specific.
4Capital priorities
Validation and certification. IP consolidation. UK engineering, QC and assembly. Demonstration projects. GCC operating capability and Nordic development under Svein Arne Sørgård.
Working capital and expansion are governed by evidence and approved milestones. Approved planning allocation: £2m UK/core, £750k GCC and £500k Nordics within one £3.25m financing.
5The value-creation path
Secure the IP position, establish independent performance evidence and convert qualified customer requirements into first deployments.
ESC holds the IP while THOM Inc is being established. Legal completion remains pending. Dr. Morten Bøsterud supports global licensing and commercial contracts.
6Milestone-led commercialisation
Mobilise
IP priorities, entity work and laboratory bookings.
Build capability
UK QC, operating systems and regional mobilisation.
Validate
Testing, demonstrator, assembly and QA.
Target first projects
Customer conversion and first material revenues.
Management planning sequence from programme mobilisation, not fixed calendar commitments. First material revenue is targeted around Month 7, dependent on validation, procurement and execution.
7The value inflection
Clean legal ownership, a decision-grade evidence package, first reference projects and disciplined regional delivery.
